Give It All You Got!
by Bro. Shamar Lewis | February 1, 2008
Give It All You Got!
Why do you go to church? Is it to see what people are wearing? To hear the latest gossip? We often take things for granted. We do our best on our jobs, even overtime to receive the promotion and study very diligently to get excellent grades. However, do we give God all we have when we come to church? No, I am not talking about money but our praise. Church is a place to go praise God for what He has done, about to do, and worship Him for who He is. So the next time you are sitting in church with your arms crossed, feet folded while the praise team in ministering through songs, and the word of God is going forth by the preacher, ask yourself, "am I giving God all I got?" The Bible says in Psalms 150:6 "Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." (KJV)

YMOV

About me:
I am here to introduce the Bay Area to a class that I am teaching called YMOV. Young Men of Valor focuses on issues that young men face daily in society and how to deal with such issues by referring to the word of God. Our goal is to empower young men to handle the difficult situations positively and spiritually, which enables them to become and to take the rightful place as leaders, fathers, and priest in the home and society. My prayer is to be an example to young men in order to Worship,Walk,Work, and Witness within God's purpose, without being a shame of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We meet at the Providence Baptist Church, 314 South 12th St. Richmond, CA, where Rev. A.L Cobbs Jr. is Pastor. If you are interested in attending this class it is taught every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. For more information leave me a message (510) 234-7323 and I'll be sure to get back to you.

YDOV
by Sis. Carolyn Cobbs | October 30, 2007

Young Daughters Of Virtue (YDOV) is designed for young girls and young ladies in today's ever changing society. We have real talk discussions on what God expects from His creation. We have just concluded our first book "Understanding the Power and Purpose of Woman" by Myles Munroe. As we continue to go forth in the Word of God, our prayer is that this class will be an inspiration and guide for the women of God. We've completed our second book "Becoming A Vessel God Can Use" by Donna Partow. This book focuses on how we should live as Christian women for God to use in His service. We are now dealing with Joyce Meyer's "Battlefield of the Mind." You are welcome to join us each Sunday morning @ 9:30 am.
